Jan 06,  · I came across Moonspell listening to "Sin(pecado)" at a friends' when it was released and immediatly fell in love with their gloomy but chilling sounds. In my humble opinion, "The butterfly FX" is one of the most honorable albums this band recorded.

Moonspell reached the Portuguese top first with their album Sin/Pecado, and were, along with Metallica and Iron Maiden, the only metal band to reach the first place of the Portuguese charts after the release of their album, Memorial, in With Memorial, Moonspell also became the first Portuguese metal band to have a record certified gold.

Pecado, Sünde, Péché, Peccato, Zonde, Bûn, Grzech, Synd, Tsúmi, Synti, Patt, Amartia, Dosa, Hrich, Günah, Peacaigh, Grijeh and tons of other words to express the word SIN in different languages. That’s indeed the provocative title Moonspell gave their third album. Probably because they knew this album would certainly not please all of.
