Route Every vocal student absolutely needs to study Nat King Cole. Route 66 is an excellent song to help them do just that. Also, teaching them a little about the old U.S. highway system and the actual fun real road trips used to be is fun for me!

This is by no means a complete overview of Roger Miller, but a good CD on the whole made better with the illustrated and very informative sleeve notes provided. At present, his complete recordings aren't available on CD but there is a 3 x CD collection titled 'The Genius of Roger Miller' which has a more complete look at his work/5(27).
